Warranty Policy
Apex Auto Parts, Inc. offers a standard 90-day exchange/warranty on most our products unless otherwise noted at the time of the sale.
This warranty covers defective parts and items sent incorrectly. In the event that the part is defective we will first attempt to replace it and if a replacement cannot be sent we will issue a refund for the sale amount including the shipping. It is our obligation to supply our customers with working auto parts during the warranty period. It is our discretion to either refund or exchange an item at any time during the warranty period.
APEX AUTO PARTS, INC DOES NOT PAY FOR ANY LABOR REIMBURSEMENT/PAID OUT BY THE CUSTOMER FOR ANY REASON.
Air Conditioning Parts. A new receiver dryer and expansion valve are required to be installed at the same time. Only the cost of the compressor is covered by the warranty. Loss of refrigerant or other related parts failing is not covered.
Computers. Engine/Transmission/Body Control Modules/ANY Computer Box. Guaranteed to be in working order for 30 days from the time of receiving the item. Many newer vehicles manufactured after 1990 and especially vehicles made after 1995 will require some kind of reprogramming by either a Tec 2 device or other programming equipment only performed by an automotive dealers service department. If a computer is found to be defective within the 30-day period, we will replace it one time. The warranty is void and the computer will be sold as-is with no return after a replacement has been sent. OTHERWISE IT MUST BE RETURNED WITHIN 30 DAYS TO RECEIVE ANY TYPE OF REFUND/CREDIT.
Engine Cylinder Heads. The warranty for cylinder heads covers the body of the cylinder head only from being warped excessively (meaning more than can be planed by machine shop) or cracked. Apex Auto Parts, Inc disclaims all other warranties for cylinder heads and all warranties for cams, valves, seals, gaskets, rockers and any other attachment. Cylinder heads must be machined and pressure tested before installation or the warranty is voided. We do not warrant any cylinder head from being installed as-is once received.
Engines. Engines are guaranteed against knock, excessive smoke and oil consumption (2qts/1000 miles), inadequate oil pressure, turned bearings, and cracks in heads, block, or pistons. Oil/fluid leaks, loose timing chains/belts, fuel components, tune ups, water pump, distributors, engine cooling systems, and exhaust manifolds are not covered by this warranty. In order to make a warranty claim on an engine, you must provide a record of the date installed, type of vehicle installed in, mileage, and engine number. In addition, failure to do any of the following things voids the warranty. (i) Install a new timing belt, water pump, and thermostat at the same time the engine is installed. (ii) Change the oil filter and oil prior to starting the engine, change the oil after the first 600 miles, and change the oil once every 3000 miles thereafter. (iii) Make sure the heat tab is not melted or missing. (iv) Flow-check the radiator and repair it if necessary. (v) Front and rear crank seals must be replaced. Customer is required to show proof of installation by an A.S.E. mechanic for any claims to be valid. Failure to do any of the above voids the warranty.
Long Block Assemblies Engines, Transmissions, Axle Assemblies, Anti-Lock Brake Assemblies, and Transfer Cases. The warranty for long block assemblies, transmissions, axle assemblies, anti-lock brake assemblies, and transfer cases does not extend to any attachment that is not separately identified and listed on the invoice. By way of example only, attachments include water pump, carburetors, starters, air conditioning compressors, fuel injection systems, throw out bearings, clutches, clutch forks, slave cylinders, etc. All unlisted attachments are sold AS IS.
Lamps- Headlights/Taillights/Park lights/Fog lights. Guaranteed not to have any major structural defects. Warranty does not cover moisture or other sealing problems. Should a moisture problem cause the light to malfunction, then we will replace it.
Transmissions. Transmissions are guaranteed to be in good working order at the time of sale. Warranty covers slippage, and shifting failures. Breaking or shearing of teeth in manual transmissions is not covered by this warranty under any circumstances. Transmissions must be drained, flushed, and filled with factory recommended fluids. All external seals and internal filters must be replaced at the time of installation. The radiator must be flow checked and repaired/replaced at the time of installation. All automatic overdrive transmissions must be installed by an A.S.E. certified mechanic for warranty to be valid. Customer is required to show proof of installation by an A.S.E. mechanic for any claims to be valid. Failure to do any of the above voids the warranty.
Wheels. Guaranteed to be true and straight. Center caps are sold separately unless otherwise guaranteed in writing at the time of sale. Condition of wheels are sold guaranteed to be in A & B condition. Wheels are graded on a scale of A-B-C-D. D being the worst condition meaning it may have severe curb rash, gouges, major oxidation, major clear coat peal or other problems.
Color Matching on Mirrors. Color matching on mirrors is not guaranteed unless a color code and/or pictures have been supplied for an adequate match. Otherwise mirrors or shades or not guaranteed and recommended to be repainted by a professional body shop to color match your vehicle.
All Other Parts & Other Conditions. All other parts sold Apex Auto Parts, Inc. are guaranteed to be in working order at time of installation. If you feel that you have discovered a defective part, contact Apex Auto Parts, Inc. immediately.
Apex Auto Parts, Inc. warranty covers normal on-road use only. If the vehicle into which a part is installed is used primarily off-road or is ever raced, the warranty is voided. In that case, the only warranty made by Apex Auto Parts, Inc. is that the part will operate at the time of installation. The addition of after-market parts or accessories voids the warranties for all parts on the vehicle. Failures of parts due to improper installation (i.e. not in accordance with O.E.M. specifications), accident, misuse, over-heating, or improper maintenance are not covered by this warranty. Proof of proper installation and maintenance will be required to validate any warranty claims and is the purchaser's responsibility to provide when the warranty is claimed. Not having proof may result in voiding of the warranty or denial of your warranty claim.
ITEMS ORDERED FOR 'TESTING PURPOSES' WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR RETURN. Verify with a repair facility or ASE certified mechanic the actual part needed before ordering. We do a very good job at sending correct parts and would ask you, our customer to do the necessary research before ordering.

You must notify Apex Auto Parts, Inc., before you return a part for any reason. If you return a part without the consent of Apex Auto Parts, Inc., you will not receive a refund. A copy of the original invoice must accompany all returns.
Exchanges.
Once Apex Auto Parts, Inc. has been notified of a defective item, we will replace the item after the original item has been picked up for return by UPS, Fed Ex, etc. It is recommended to supply a tracking number for your return once it has been shipped.
Refunds.
Items returned after the warranty period will not be refunded or replaced. This time will range normally from 30 to 90 days based upon the warranty at the time of sale.
Items returned for a non-warranty claim will be issued store credit. Store credits will expire one year after being issued. We strongly urge our customers to do their homework before making a purchase to ensure that what they order is what they need.
If an item is found to be defective and cannot be replaced during the 90 day period, then a full refund will be issued. Otherwise items will be exchanged only during the 90 day period
Items returned that are not in the original condition shipped will not be refunded. Items returned that are not the original part shipped will not be refunded.
Refunds are typically issued after the item has been received & verified by the receiving facility.
Shipping Disclaimer
Express and/or upgraded shipping charges will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Apex Auto Parts, Inc. will only pay return shipping for warranty returns and only if Apex Auto Parts, Inc dispatches a carrier unless otherwise arranged before hand.
